Annual Conference ~ Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

Questions and concerns are addressed below regarding the 2020 ANIA Annual Conference scheduled for May 7-9 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago in Chicago, IL.

Abstracts

What are the deadlines for submitting abstracts?

Speaker/podium abstracts were due June 30, 2019. Poster abstracts are due by December 15, 2019.

I missed the deadline for submitting my oral abstract. What should I do?

The ANIA conference program planning committee runs on tight deadlines and is unable to consider late submissions. However, you are encouraged to submit a poster abstract. Poster abstracts are due by December 15, 2019.

How do I submit an abstract?

Visit the ANIA Abstract Submission System to submit your abstract.

I’m having trouble logging on to the abstract management system.

All abstract submitters need to create a user account before being able to submit an abstract. The user account information is separate from any ANIA member information you may have on file since non-members can submit abstracts.

Please contact Kristina Moran, Education Coordinator, at kristina.moran@ajj.com if you are having specific issues logging in.

Are there any guidelines for submitting abstracts?

If you are planning to submit an abstract for consideration, be sure to review the abstract submission guidelines, which will likely answer most questions you may have.

I’m having trouble attaching documents to my abstract submission.

The only attachment needed for an abstract submission is the biographical data and conflict of interest form for any lead author and intended presenters (if the abstract is selected for presentation). A blank copy of this form is available within the abstract management system.

You do not need to attach a copy of your abstract to the abstract submission.

The system is able to accept multiple attachments, but only the most recently uploaded document will show for users. This ensures that the upload has been successful. The system will save a copy of all your attachment uploads for viewing on the administrator side.

How will I find out if my abstract has been accepted?

You will receive an email from Kristina Moran, ANIA Education Coordinator, confirming your abstract status. Speaker/podium abstract submitters will receive notification by November 2019, and poster abstract submitters will receive notification by February 2020. Abstract submitters receive a notification of status regardless of acceptance or not. The notification of abstract status is sent to the primary abstract submitter. Please contact Kristina Moran, Education Coordinator, at kristina.moran@ajj.com for specific questions about your abstract submission or presentation.
