Nurses Again Ranked Most Trusted Professionals
Need more proof of the value of trust in nurses? The Gallup poll of the honesty and ethical standards of professionals has been conducted annually since 1990. This year, about 80% of Americans responded to the poll to say that nurses have "very high" or "high" standards, putting them at the top of the list.
"Nurses have topped the list each year since they were first included in 1999," the results say, "with the exception of 2001 when firefighters were included in response to their work during and after the 9/11 attacks." (Source: Gallup, December 18, 2014)

Module on Informatics in Care Coordination and Transition Management Available
Informatics nursing practice supports all dimensions of Care Coordination Transition Management (CCTM). The use of health information technology is essential for safe care of patients in all health care settings and streamlines processes of coordinating care as patients transfer between different locations or levels of care. A new educational module from the American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing provides a discussion of the importance of using nationally recognized standardized terminologies across settings. The module also presents the integration of the knowledge, skills, and attitudes between the RN-CCTM Model and informatics nursing practice.
