ANIA Region IV, in collaboration with the Virginia Hospital Center (VHC), will host a networking event and continuing education session the evening of November 22, 2013, in Arlington, VA. The moderator and hostess will be Michelle Lardner, MS, RN-BC, Director of Nursing Informatics at VHC, and the guest speaker will be Charles Boicey, MS, RN-BC, CPHIMS.
Mr. Boicey is a registered nurse with over 20 years of experience. His clinical practice includes trauma and critical care. He made the transition into informatics 12 years ago and is now the Informatics Solutions Architect for the University of California, Irvine (UCI). In his role as an architect, Mr. Boicey designs informatics solutions for clinicians, operations, quality, and research. At UCI, he developed “Saritor” UCI’s “Big Data” ecosystem. Caterina Lasome, PhD, MBA, RN, CPHIMS, the Region IV Director, will also be available to engage with ANIA members. This is an excellent opportunity for ANIA members to learn new topics and to meet and network with their Board leadership, as well as share perspectives and ideas with fellow colleagues. As always, ANIA members are encouraged to bring an informatics colleague who might want to learn more about ANIA or perhaps join our organization. More details will be forthcoming as plans are finalized. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. Contact hours and CPHIMS credits are being processed.
We look forward to seeing you in Arlington!
