ANIA is pleased to support our mission of advancing informatics through certification and education. We are excited to provide 4 scholarship awards of $3,000 each for applicants at the Masters and Doctoral level.
To qualify for an ANIA Graduate Nursing Informatics or Healthcare Informatics Scholarship, you must:
- Be enrolled in an accredited Master's or Doctoral program with a focus on nursing informatics or healthcare informatics
- Be an ANIA member in good standing for at least two years
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Provide official transcripts from your current graduate program
- Provide two letters of reference (personal OR professional AND academic)
- Provide a goal statement essay
- Provide a current curriculum vitae or resume
** ANIA members serving on the Board of Directors are ineligible to compete for scholarships
ANIA is a non-governmental source of funds for graduate education in nursing/healthcare informatics to obtain Masters and Doctorate degrees. ANIA is solely supported by membership dues, non-profit organizational activities, and contributions from individuals, corporations, and organizations.
ANIA scholarships are competitive and merit-based. The ANIA Scholarship Selection Committee considers the main criteria for awards to be academic standing, scholarship, and potential for leadership and service to the nursing/healthcare informatics profession and community in general, and ANIA specifically. The application requires official transcripts, two letters of reference, one of which must be from the university program director for informatics, a goal statement essay, as well as any additional professional information.
The deadline for receipt of all application materials is January 31. Late applications will not be considered. The application review takes place in February and successful applicants will be announced during the 2017 Annual Conference in New Orleans, March 30-April 1, 2017.
The application packet should be inclusive of all materials due from the applicant including letters of reference. The Nursing Informatics CE series winners will be announced and notified in February. Award winners will need to provide a high-resolution (1.8 megapixels or higher) head/shoulders photo in a standard photo file format (e.g. - JPG, TIFF, RAW).
