State registry requirements for COVID-19 vaccinations are a priority throughout the nation. Focusing on population health bidirectional interfaces for meeting interoperability measures to include vaccinations for COVID-19 becomes challenging as states plan and collaborate to vaccinate thousands. Who better than nursing informatics to sit at the C-Suite and committee planning meetings to develop a process, workflow, and electronic system(s) that will meet the need as well as the measures to vaccinate and address population health? A panel from the University Medical Center of El Paso will present what was done at their hospital and clinics to participate as a BETA site state VAOS system team, become a HUB, and vaccinate, as well as enter data into IMMTRAC2.
