ANIA Members Win ASPR "Now Trending" Twitter Challenge

Local public health officials can use a free new Web-based application, MappyHealth This link takes you to a non-Federal Government site, to track health concerns in real time in their communities using Twitter, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) announced today.

Former ANIA Board Member Brian Norris and Current ANIA Vice President Charles Boicey, along with management information systems specialist Mark Silverberg, collaborated to create MappyHealth - a system analyzing data obtained via the Twitter API and "tracking disease trends, 140 characters at a time."
